Creative Spaces Present: STORYTELLING WORKSHOP
October 20 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Ever wondered what stories are hidden within Dumfries and Galloway? Do you want to be the one to unearth and retell the tales of your place?
In October, Creative Spaces will host events and workshops tailored to the art of storytelling and local history. Delve into the histories and tales of Dumfries and Galloway in our ‘Deep Dive into the Archive’ event at the Ewart Library, letting you discover hidden stories about the place you live in! Join us throughout the month to explore these stories through the mediums of verbal or visual storytelling. In Scotland’s year of Stories, reimagine tales to connect with people and place.
All these events are free of charge, and while being aimed at 16-30 year olds in D&G, we welcome everyone along to share our love for creativity and a good auld story.
Come to the Stove Cafe on the 20th of October to learn the art of telling a good story. Lead by Karen Campbell, we will be going through skills in turning a simple narrative into an imaginative artwork that gets everyone hanging onto every last word. Bring a story you found from the Ewart, a tale you already know or one you got from someone in the pub!
