Dumfries Music Conference

Dumfries Music Conference returns to The Stove for the fourth edition of this popular annual music industry event.

The Dumfries Music Conference returns to The Stove on 20-22 October for the fourth edition of this popular annual event. Expect workshops, music industry insight, live music, Radio DMC and special moments throughout. You can find DMC on all the usual social media channels, including twitter, facebook and instagram for regular announcements about this year’s programme.

On Friday 21 October our very special line-up includes:
12pm – 4pm: Radio DMC with Melissa Gunn Small Town Sounds, + Chazz and Craig Deep Fried Soul
1pm – 2:30pmMusic Plus workshop: Making a hip-hop/electronic track in Ableton with Konchis
6:30pmStuart Macpherson presents ‘Flight’ – an immersive soundscape on Dumfries High Street
7pm – 8pmMark Lyken (Artist) presents ‘Oscillion Response’ – sonic responses and visualisations with Ben F Laposky’s groundbreaking 1950’s art works
8:30pm – 10:30pm: In conversation with Brian Cannon (Microdot) – graphic designer, photographer & music video director extraordinaire for Oasis, The Verve, Johnny Marr, Super Furry Animals, Jagwar Ma +loads more

On Saturday 22 October our very special line-up features:

11am – 12:30pm: a Radio Masterclass with veteren Radio Presenter Jim Gellatly
12pm – 4pm: Radio DMC with Melissa Gunn Small Town Sounds, + Chazz and Craig Deep Fried Soul and Jim Gellatly
2pm – 3:30pm: DMC Workshop; an Introduction to Digital Marketing / How to Promote Your band / business with Derick Mackinnon from New Found Sound

LIVE MUSIC GIG: on Saturday evening live music from; Tropical-pop Edinburgh band, who everyone is raving about Indigo Velvet local trio Brat and the Bonemen and submlime singer-songwriter Zoë Bestel full details and how to get tickets available here
