SUMMARY:Conversing Buildings x Creative Spaces
DESCRIPTION:Over the next two weeks\, the Creative Spaces Associates are taking over The Stove Café for their first Conversing Building exhibition. \n\n\n\nWorking in tandem with The Loose Goose\, Craig\, Lili and Liv invite you to create something before The Loose Goose sets off on its travels on the 20th. Take part in the exhibition and consider why you flock together\, gather\, and share space with one another. \n\n\n\nContributions will be displayed in The Stove Café until Guid Nychburris\, before being brought together to create a single community flag for The Loose Goose as it roves around the town. After Guid Nychburris\, the completed community piece will return to the exhibition for display. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAccessibility Information \n\n\n\nAccess to the BuildingLevel Access is available at the rear of the building through the adjacent close located to the left-hand side of the Café (when facing the front of the building).  \n\n\n\nHearing LoopWe have a hearing loop system installed in the café to support individuals using hearing aids or cochlear implants. \n\n\n\nPersonalised AssistanceIf you have any specific access needs\, please let us know\, and we’ll be happy to accommodate. DESCRIPTION:PRINT HOUSE — LAUNCH DAY \n\n\n\nWe’re opening the doors to the Print House – a new space for making\, experimenting\, and getting ideas out in the world.Join us for a full day of hands-on workshops to kick things off. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIntroduction to Risograph10:30am – 1:30pmA hands-on introduction to risograph printing.A process that sits somewhere between photocopier and screenprint\, known for its bold colours\, textured layers\, and unpredictable charm.In this 3-hour session\, you’ll learn the basics: how to prepare artwork\, build layers\, and print your own two-colour design. You’ll leave with your own prints and a solid grounding in the process.Whether it’s your first time or you’re brushing up your skills\, this is a chance to get stuck in\, try things out\, and see what happens. Expect good tunes\, good chat\, and a drink to mark the launch. \n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nImportant Info:– Spaces are limited and offered on a first-come\, first-served basis– Age restriction: 16+– If you sign up but can no longer attend\, please let us know ASAP so we can offer your space to someone else. \n\n\n\nWhat is risograph printing? \n\n\n\nRisograph (or ‘riso’) is a gloriously unpredictable print process that sits somewhere between screen printing and photocopying. It uses bright soy-based inks and a stencil-based method to produce bold\, textured\, layered prints with a beautifully handmade feel.Each colour is printed one or two layers at a time – meaning happy accidents\, weird overlaps\, and slight misregistrations are all part of the charm. It’s fast\, affordable\, eco-conscious\, and ideal for posters\, zines\, flyers\, art prints\, comics\, and more.Riso is loved for its vibrant colours that can’t be replicated through digital means\, low-fi textures\, and its power to turn the ordinary into something full of life and energy. It’s a bit like magic – but with rollers and drums \n\n\n\nAccessibility Information  \n\n\n\nThe Print House is step-free and located on a single level\, with an accessible toilet available on site. \n\n\n\nThe space is compact\, so we recommend getting in touch in advance if you’d like to plan your visit.
