It’s that time of year again…time to call our membership to our AGM, look at projects of the past year and thank you for your continued support in our activity! Our AGM this year will take place at 100 High Street in 22nd November, and everyone is welcome to come along from 6pm.
The AGM is a great opportunity for everyone to get together to reflect on what has been achieved in the last year and discuss plans for 2019 and beyond. Those whom have attended previous AGMs will know that they are fun, informal and social occasions – but also play an important part in the running of The Stove as the evening also includes the moment when members elect their Board of Trustees to take care of the governance of our organisation for the next year.In Stovie fashion we also wanted to bring something extra, so this year we are pairing it with an Open Discussion Event on how people can have more power and influence over decision making and projects in their communities. We bring this to you in collaboration with Scottish Government as part of their national conversation about more powers being exercised by local communities. #DemocracyMatters
The event will begin at 6pm, with our AGM starting at 7.15pm, followed by a social from 8pm with light refreshments.
We very much hope you can join us to lend your thoughts and start the run into winter gathering and festivities.
