The Deep End
April 22 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

An exhibition by Paul M. Thomas
A photographic exhibition exploring demolition, archive, and memory.
In 2009, the Dumfries Swimming Pool at the Greensands – built to Olympic scale in the 1960’s – was demolished. During its final days, Paul Meynall documented the site as it shifted from a place of shared leisure into rubble.
Part archive, part artwork, The Deep End captures a moment of transition – asking what we choose to remember, and what becomes quietly forgotten.
It reflects on how easily the ordinary spaces that shape us can disappear, and how our connection to place shifts with them.
Layered with traces of the workers, the land, and the act of demolition itself, the exhibition offers a grounded, story-rich account of loss, change, and what remains.
Join us for an informal exhibition opening and talk from the artist.
