Conversing Building: The Art of Giving

June 30 @ 9:00 am July 18 @ 3:00 pm

This month, our Conversing Building exhibition is a display of drawings by Frank Ritchie, a collection of works created to share a message of hope and healing. Frank created the series to support the national charity Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide, and sales from this exhibition will be donated to charities locally supporting men’s mental health and suicide awareness.

In connection with the exhibition, Reel to Real Cinema will be sharing documentary film, Silent Men: The Awkward Art of Expressing Emotion on Friday, 3rd July. After the film we will be joined by Frank to share more about the making of the exhibition and it’s impact.

The Art of Giving has been displayed at DGRI and The Usual Place in Dumfries, as well as through several exhibitions in Lockerbie. The exhibition is available to view during Stove Café hours, Monday – Saturday, 9am to 3pm.
