But our society also promotes Christmas as a time for spending, for commercialisation, for excess and for waste, with negative environmental consequences. Could this Christmas be more regenerative, more local, more ethical, more respectful of planetary boundaries?

November’s Climate Kitchen presents to you the Dumfries Climate Conscious Christmas market!

Featuring:

• Lean Bean – Christmas cake and delicious foods
• Flourish – ethical, local and biodegradable gifts and decorations
• Kilnford Barns Christmas tree rental
• Galloway Food Hub – a local, organic Christmas dinner
• Kitchen Witch – skincare made from nature
• The art of Furushiki – or wrapping gifts with reusable fabrics

Arrive from 5pm. Event running alongside the Christmas Lights switch-on on the High Street.

The Climate Kitchen, run by local community members, is a space for learning, sharing, contributing and working together to do something positive for the climate!

Climate Kitchen is open to anyone and everyone!

Accessibility Information 

Access to the Building:

• Level Access is available at the rear of the building through the adjacent close located to the left-hand side of the Café (when facing the front of the building). 

Hearing Loop:

• We have a hearing loop system installed in the café to support individuals using hearing aids or cochlear implants.
