The Loose Goose: A Roving Laboratory of Radical Imagination

Every year at Guid Nychburris we celebrate the historic boundaries of Dumfries – riding the marches and honouring the traditions that mark where the town begins and ends.

But this year…one goose has slipped the gate.

The Loose Goose is a roaming cargo bike turned mobile imagination laboratory – part pirate radio station, part musical playground, part pop-up print studio.

You might hear it before you see it! Stop by and you might find yourself:

• Playing with strange sound gadgets and musical instruments
• Screen-printing a rebellious goose to take home.
• Sharing thoughts about the kind of place Dumfries could become
  

Because while Guid Nychburris celebrates the boundaries of the town, the Loose Goose asks a playful question:

What good ideas might be waiting just outside the gate?

Inspired by the wild geese that cross continents without borders, the Loose Goose celebrates radical welcome, freedom of imagination, and the brilliant mix of cultures, voices and possibilities that shape a town.

Newcomers, locals, dreamers, wanderers – everyone is welcome to join in.
