Creating open and inclusive spaces for social interaction and conversation is the key part of the practice of the Stove. We aim to do this in a number of ways, one of which is through bringing people together to share food, film and discussion.
Reel to Real Cinema began in 2016 as a space in the Stove to share films with big ideas that can start conversations, and to bring the dialogue from the screen into our everyday experiences.
This year, Reel to Real is focused on creating an open access social space for discussion inspired by a broad selection of films. We seek to re-imagine the cinema environment as a destination for gathering and exchange, as an important element in an active town centre.
