After a long period of refurbishment, The Stove building was opened to the public on 24th April 2015 with the Dumfries Music Conference.

he third DMC filled the three floors of 100 High Street with a spectrum of musical inspiration and experience. As in past years DMC 15 was characterised by opportunities for young musical talent both to learn and show what they can do.

‘Hip Hop was Born in Scotland’ was led by Glaswegian rapping legend Louie of Hector Bizerk, luminaries of the Scottish music scene led a seminar and listening lounge, local musicians played livesets on Radio DMC as it broadcast from the shopfloor of The Stove and spilled out into the High Street.

Cinema DMC showed music films throughout and the two days was topped off with a sold out gig featuring a range of talent: including the debut gig by local lass MOGEN, through the up and coming KHLOE to Sean and the Robots and Miaoux Miaoux. Last years bill of HoneyBlood, Barstow Bats and Hector Bizerk have certainly gone places since….you heard them here first!
